A crash between two cars on the Hilton Head bridges is backing up Monday afternoon traffic heading onto the island, according to authorities.

The crash was reported at 2:30 p.m., and there were no injuries, according to Bluffton Township Fire District Capt. Randy Hunter.

A news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office states one lane is closed eastbound and one lane is closed westbound.

As of 3:10 p.m., Hunter estimates traffic will be affected for at least another half-an-hour.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and S.C. Highway Patrol are on the scene.
