Motorcycle crash injures 1, slows morning traffic near Bluffton flyover to US 278

A motorcycle crash that left one person injured has cleared after slowing morning traffic where Bluffton Parkway meets U.S. 278, according to authorities.

The injured person was transported to a local trauma center by ground, according to Bluffton Township Fire District Capt. Randy Hunter.

The left and center lanes of U.S. 278 eastbound were blocked off as officials worked to clear the crash that occurred at around 7:35 a.m. on Monday morning.

Beaufort County EMS, S.C. Highway Patrol, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, according to traffic cameras.
