Crash in front of Hilton Head Island bridges caused morning commute delays
A crash with injuries in front of the Hilton Head Island bridges early Thursday has been cleared after causing delays for the morning crush of drivers heading onto the island.
A collision between a black Honda and a gray Ford F-150 about 8:20 a.m. blocked one lane of traffic on U.S. 278, according to S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Tidwell.
The extent of the injuries was unavailable at 9:10 a.m., but they were minor and not life-threatening, according to Bluffton Township Fire District Capt. Randy Hunter.
