Traffic alert: Crash on SC 170 slows morning rush hour traffic Thursday

Update: The crash was cleared around 9 a.m.

A crash on S.C. 170 slowed eastbound traffic Thursday morning, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division.

There were two cars involved in the crash but no one was injured, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Maj. Bob Bromage.

The crash closed the left lane near Palmer Grace Drive East and Dunkin Donuts during morning rush hour, traffic cameras show.

Both eastbound and westbound traffic appears to be backed up.

Google Maps showed a 20-minute delay at 8:25 a.m.
