Driving in Beaufort, Bluffton or Hardeeville this week? You’ll likely hit lane closures

Prepare to hit road construction on the Broad River Bridge this week.

And on Trask Parkway.

And on May River Road.

And in Hardeeville.

In fact, if you’re driving nearly anywhere in Beaufort, Bluffton or Hardeeville this week, you’re likely to hit some lane closures that will delay traffic.

Here’s a breakdown of the planned road construction and what to expect:

Beaufort area: Broad River Bridge

There will be nightly lane closures on the Broad River Bridge and the Chechessee Bridge for a paving project.

Construction began Sunday night and will take place through Saturday night.

People with flags will direct traffic during nighttime closures.

Beaufort area: Trask Parkway

There will be daytime lane closures on Trask Parkway from Stoney Creek Cemetery Road to Bryan Lane.

Lane closures will start Monday and take place through Wednesday.

The work is scheduled for 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Bluffton: May River Road

There will be nightly lane closures on May River Road from Red Cedar to Rose Dhu Creek.

Lane closures started Sunday evening and will continue until Saturday.

Workers People with flags will direct traffic during nighttime closures.

Hardeeville: Kato Bay Road

There will be lane closures on U.S. 17, Kato Bay Road, from Okeetie Fire Tower Road to Straton Hall Road.

The lane closures will take place on Thursday.

Hardeeville: SC-462 Coosaw Scenic Drive

There will also be lane closures on S.C. 462 Coosaw Scenic Drive, from Dawson Landing to Bees Creek Road.

The lane closures will take place on Friday.

Hardeeville and Ridgeland

There will also be lane closures on Ulman Sreet in Hardeeville, Church Street and Adams Street in Ridgeland in Jasper County.

The daytime lane closures started Sunday and will continue through Saturday.
