Update: Coroner identifies the 2 men killed in U.S. 278 crash Wednesday in Bluffton

Two Ohio men were killed and two others injured in an accident on U.S. 278 near Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton just after noon on Wednesday.
Charles Paul Adams, 76, of Wadsworth, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene, Beaufort County coroner Ed Allen said Thursday morning.
Joseph Feran, 78, of Kirtland, Ohio, died after being airlifted to Savannah Memorial University Medical Center, Allen said.
The 12:21 p.m. accident, which blocked all eastbound lanes and the westbound turn lane, backed up traffic along the highway for several hours.
According to Lance Cpl. Matt Southern of the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta attempting to make a left turn onto Rose Hill Way was struck by the driver of a 2019 BMW SUV.
Feran was driving the Jetta, and Adams was a passenger in the back seat, according to Allen.
A front-seat passenger in the Jetta was transported by EMS to the Savannah hospital, and the driver of the BMW, who was the only occupant of that vehicle, went to Hilton Head Hospital with minor injuries.
