Prince Street in Beaufort impassible after rain, flooding; others reopen
After heavy rain Wednesday and Thursday, several roads in Beaufort reopened Thursday but Prince street remains impassable in some areas.
Other streets that were flooded earlier in the day such as Hamar, Duke, North, Williams and Union streets appear to be clear, Stephanie Karafa, a Beaufort Police Department spokeswoman, said.
“We are still encouraging everyone to be cautious,” Karafa said Thursday afternoon.
The Beaufort Police Department posted a warning to their Facebook page:
