Drivers in the area of New Riverside Drive in Bluffton and Myrtle Island should expect to see a film crew Wednesday.

The crew will be filming for Mercedes-Benz on Myrtle Island for two to three minute intervals this afternoon, according to Capt. Bob Bromage of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. Drivers should expect sporadic road closures.

The crew will then move to New Riverside Drive where it will film a car traveling along the roadway for minute intervals between 5 and 6 p.m., according to a Bluffton Police Department Facebook post. Traffic will be stopped for a short time as the filming takes place.

Bromage said Mercedes is acting as a sponsor for HGTV.

An HGTV spokesperson could not be reached immediately for further details.
