Here’s why traffic was heavy Wednesday along US 278 in Bluffton near Target
An accident on westbound U.S. 278 and Gateway Village Road blocked the right and center lanes of traffic just before 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bluffton.
The crash occurred at the entrance to a busy shopping area across from Target that is bookended by Best Buy and Home Depot.
The accident was cleared about 45 minutes later.
The S.C. Highway Patrol reports that there were no injuries.
