One hospitalized after Hilton Head accident on US 278 at Dillon Road
A two-vehicle accident near Dillon Road had traffic backed up Tuesday morning along U.S. 278 on Hilton Head Island.
Lanes of U.S. 278 were blocked in both directions for a time after the accident, which occured just before 10:45 a.m., according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
There were minor injuries and one person was transported to a local hospital, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Bob Bromage.
Information about the cause of the accident was not immediately available.
