This driver was trapped in an upside-down car when Burton firefighters arrived
A driver whose vehicle flipped and came to rest on its roof walked away from the accident Monday morning in Beaufort.
The single-vehicle accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. behind Little Caesars Pizza at the Cross Creek shopping plaza on Robert Smalls Parkway, according to a news release from the Burton Fire District.
The male driver was trapped inside the rolled-over vehicle when first responders arrived, the news release said.
Information about why the accident occurred was not available. Messages left for the Beaufort Police Department were not immediately returned on Monday.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, did not wish to go to the hospital, according to the news release.
