Heads up, Bluffton drivers. Here’s where and when to expect a police checkpoint

The Bluffton Police Department will conduct a traffic checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 18 at the traffic circle at the intersection of S.C. 170, May River Road, and New Riverside Road.

Officers will be on the lookout for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, vehicle violations, drivers with suspended or revoked licenses, and any other violation of the law, according to a department news release.

Other law enforcement agencies, along with the 14th Circuit Law Enforcement Network, will also be assisting during the checkpoint, the release said.
