Bluffton’s Buck Island Road is getting a new look
The Town of Bluffton will install a 5-foot-wide sidewalk for about 1,000 feet on Buck Island Road from Simmonsville Road to Kitty Road, according to a town news release.
Work is scheduled for July 15 to late August.
The project is part of larger effort to improve the streetscape in the Buck Island-Simmonsville neighborhood and along May River Road.
During construction, there may be brief times during which traffic is reduced to one lane on Buck Island Road to allow equipment to enter and exit the construction site. The contractor will coordinate with the residents within the construction site to ensure access to their homes, according to the release.
