Police investigating after man jumps off Talmadge Memorial Bridge

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating after a man allegedly jumped off Talmadge Memorial Bridge on Tuesday, according to the Savannah Morning News.

Emergency personnel responded to the incident around 1:30 p.m. after receiving reports that an unidentified man parked his car, got out and jumped off the side of the bridge, according to the newspaper.

The man was pulled from the river and given CPR before being taken Memorial University Medical Center. His condition is unknown.

The police department reported on Facebook one lane of the bridge was shut down for two hours while officers investigated.
