US 278 lanes to close near Bluffton Parkway flyover Wednesday night

An eastbound and westbound lane are set to close Wednesday night along a stretch of U.S. 278 near the Bluffton Parkway flyover.

The closure will occur from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday between Buckingham Plantation Drive and the bridges to Hilton Head Island, according to a news release from construction contractor R.R. Dawson Bridge Company.

The lane closure will allow crews to install signs along the road.

Drivers are asked to aware of crews and equipment in the area, according to the release.
