How To for Nov. 1, 2015: Trump, Clinton, Bush, Sanders all fair game in 'The Capitol Steps'

Listening to presidential hopefuls on TV or stumping in Beaufort County isn't the only way to be entertained by politics these days. The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina is presenting another version of political humor called "The Capitol Steps -- How to Succeed in Congress Without Really Lying." Performances are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The ever-changing musical show was started by former congressional staffers in 1981 and satirizes events and personalities.

Since they began, the Capitol Steps gang has recorded more than 30 albums. Today, the troupe primarily employs professional actors and singers.

WHEN: 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 5 and 8 p.m. Friday.

Baby Boomers and others who enjoy a good laugh will get a kick out of the May River Theater's presentation of "You Haven't Changed a Bit (And Other Lies!)."

The musicals, about the adventures of aging as experienced by three married couples and longtime friends, opens 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Ulmer Auditorium at Bluffton Town Hall, 20 Bridge St.

Other 8 p.m. performances are Saturday Nov. 7 and Nov. 13, 14, 20 and 21. Matinee performances at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, and Nov. 15 and 22.

They'll be beer here, there and everywhere at the Bluffton International & Craft Beer Fest. This year's fifth annual celebration is at a new location overlooking the May River at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park in historic downtown Bluffton.

The festival is from 1 to 5 p.m. and offers a wide variety of international ales, stouts, lagers and pilsners. The event also features a food court, venders and live music from the Will Snyder band and the Neil & Bob band.

Patrons must be 21 or older for beer festival tickets. There is no charge for other activities.
