Local dentist donates $5K to Bluffton Middle School

A local orthodontist has donated $5,000 to help Bluffton Middle School enhance its landscaping this year.

Dr. James Maginnis, who has been practicing in Bluffton and on Hilton Head Island since 2001, will be recognized for his donation at an upcoming Beaufort County school board meeting.

The landscaping work around the school will be completed in the next few weeks and is meant to give the school a new look ahead of the addition of eighth grade in 2016-217, according to the Parent Teacher Organization.
