Beaufort chamber to host school board candidate forum

The two candidates, Rebecca Cooper and David Striebinger, are seeking to represent District 2, which covers portions of Beaufort, St. Helena Island and Lady's Island. The seat was formerly held by Bill Evans, who resigned in October.

The forum, which is open to the public, is scheduled for 8 a.m. in the Beaufort Realtor's Association Headquarters in the Palmetto Business Park on Lady's Island Drive.

The special election will be held Tuesday, February 2.
