2022-23 Beaufort Co. school report cards are out. How did your school score?

Beaufort County schools improved overall from the 2021-22 school year to the 2022-23 school year, according to the South Carolina School Report Cards, released Tuesday.

Here is what you need to know, how each school scored, and whether there is a difference between schools in Hilton Head, Okatie, Bluffton and Port Royal.

Quick Facts

  • For the 2021-22 school year, the state reported seven schools as Below Average or Unsatisfactory. This number is now three.
  • Six schools, or 17%, scored Excellent

  • Nine schools, or 26% scored Good

  • Most ratings were Average, with 17 out of the 35 ratings or 48% of schools scoring as such

  • One school, or 3%, scored Below Average
  • Two schools, or 6%, scored Unsatisfactory

Rating system

The ratings are:

  • Excellent – School performance substantially exceeds the criteria
  • Good - School performance exceeds the criteria
  • Average - School performance meets the criteria
  • Below Average - School performance is in jeopardy of not meeting the criteria
  • Unsatisfactory – School performance fails to meet the criteria
