Jasper County School District is operating remotely Monday following a Sunday night storm that caused power failures and lingering strong winds across the Midlands and Lowcountry.

“All Jasper County Schools will operate as a e-learning day,” according to a message sent by the district this morning. “All staff will work remotely for the safety of all.”

Royal Live Oaks Academy is operating remotely, and Polaris Tech Charter School has canceled Monday’s classes.

Beaufort County School District doesn’t resume classes until Wednesday, though staff have a professional development day scheduled for Tuesday.
