May River High School briefly evacuated Wednesday morning
May River High School students and staff evacuated the building for about 15 minutes Wednesday morning, district spokesman Jim Foster said.
The evacuation stemmed from an “audible warning tone” coming through the school’s P.A. system, though the electronic system itself didn’t show any problems with smoke, he said.
Maintenance staff is on scene at the school to determine what the alarm was.
Students returned to the school around 10 a.m.
