‘My daughter won’t be going’: Parents clash with Beaufort County School Board over Saturday makeup days

News this week that the Beaufort County School Board would look to make Saturdays school make up days, in the event of inclement weather, didn’t sit well with some parents. And many were quick to share their thoughts on our Facebook pages.

While some noted they dealt with similar situations in other states and even argued school should be year round, several took issue with the complications a Saturday school day would have on their family. Here’s a sample of the response.
