School bus struck in Bluffton before making day’s first stop

A Beaufort County School District bus was struck by a car before making Monday morning’s first stop in Bluffton, leaving minor damage but no injuries.

No students had been picked up when the accident took place at U.S. 278 and Burnt Church Road, district spokesman Jim Foster said. A substitute bus was dispatched to make the Bluffton High run, getting students to class on time.
