Benjamin "Figman" Major, 79, formerly of the Saxonville community of St. Helena Island and widower of Betty Hancock Major, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Duke University Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C.

A wake will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wise Mortuary Inc. in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kingdom Impact Global Ministry in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Fayetteville.Local arrangements by Chisholm Galloway Home for Funerals.
