Bluffton arrest warrant yields three arrests, drugs, stolen gun

Three men were arrested Thursday evening after a search warrant executed by the Bluffton Police Department uncovered drugs and a stolen gun.

Bluffton residents Albert Chatman Jr., 34, Mark Haynes, 50, and Richard Frazier Jr., 27, were charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine withing half a mile of a school and possession of marijuana after investigators learned drugs were possibly being sold from 191 Buck Island Road, according to a police department news release.

Members of the department’s Strategic Response Team and Special Investigations Unit found the three suspects along with suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and a stolen handgun during the search warrant.

Additional suspects involved in alleged illegal drug activity at the residence have been identified and additional charges are pending, the release said.

Chatman, Haynes and Frazier were taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center where they await bond hearings.
