A Sun City Hilton Head resident awoke Monday morning to find a white bicycle outside of his home instead of the 2001 burgundy Toyota Tacoma he had parked in his driveway the night before, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Two men are being sought in connection with the theft. Deputies have released surveillance video that shows them on bicycle entering Sun City just after 4 a.m. Monday. The truck was seen leaving the age-restricted retirement community around 5 a.m.

The Sun City resident discovered his truck missing around 8:30 a.m. Monday. It had been left unlocked, but he said he still has all of the keys to it, according to a Sheriff’s Office release.

The truck has a South Carolina license plate that reads LPA 369.
