Jewelry, silverware and other household items valued at more than $20,000 were reported stolen last week from a Hilton Head Island home.

Among the items allegedly pilfered from the Sea Pines house were two 14k gold rings encrusted with diamonds, a sapphire bracelet, a diamond bracelet, an Oriental rug, and a 24-piece silverware set, according to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report released Wednesday.

The theft likely occurred between June 19 and June 24, the report said.

The victim, a Charlotte resident, packed boxes of his belongings at the Sea Pines homes June 19 to bring back to North Carolina.

On June 24, the victim “noticed someone had stolen his property,” the report said.

He “checked with his familiy and was (told) they had not touched or relocated the missing items,” according to the report.

The man wasn’t able to provide deputies with “any other information or leads,” nor was he able to provide serial numbers for the stolen goods, the report said.

Deputies told the man to contact police if he finds the serial numbers so they can enter them into a stolen items database.
