Hampton Hall boil-water advisory lifted
A boil advisory issued Wednesday for Bluffton’s Hampton Hall neighborhood has been lifted.
According to Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the advisory was lifted Thursday when the latest water samples indicated the neighborhood’s water is free from bacteria and safe for consumption.
The original advisory was issued due to pond water backing up into the system through an irrigation connection, according to a BJWSA release.
The unauthorized connection was discovered by BJWSA personnel as they investigated complaints of discolored water.
The pond has since been isolated from the system, the release said.
