A Beaufort County teen was sentenced to 20 years in prison Wednesday for killing an 18-year-old Dale teen in 2015.

Geoni Najee Clark was 17 years old when he fired the fatal shots that killed William Kareem Major Jan. 7 at 969 Kinloch Road in Seabrook.

Major was found in an SUV in the parking lot of Keans Road church with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. At the time, investigators believed Major was shot on Kinloch Road, then tried to drive away before pulling over at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Clark pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter before Circuit Court Judge Michael Nettles, according to a 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office news release.
