Sheriff’s office: Missing Hilton Head Island man found safe

An 80-year-old Hilton Head man who went missing from the Forest Cove area of Hilton Head Island early Tuesday afternoon was found safe in Sea Pines, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Yangner Orroyo was reported missing by family members when he could not be accounted for after leaving his Forest Cove apartment around 1:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office alert said.

However, Sea Pines security guards found Orroyo, unharmed, near Lawton Stables, the Sheriff’s Office reported around 6:45 p.m.
