Bluffton police make 3rd arrest in April Little Caesars robbery

A third man suspected in the robbery of a Bluffton pizza restaurant in April turned himself in to police on Thursday.

Calvin White Jr., 22, was charged with the armed robbery of the Bluffton Little Caesars after he turned himself in at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway. Bluffton Police Department detectives took him into custody Friday morning, according to a department news release.

“We have been looking for White for a few weeks now,” Bluffton Police Chief Joey Reynolds said. “The U.S. Marshall’s Task Forces out of Savannah and Conway were instrumental in helping us track White down.”

White joins 20-year-olds Leroy Frost and Deon Miller, both of Bluffton, who face the same charge after they allegedly robbed the Towne Drive restaurant around 9:45 a.m. April 24.

Two employees told police they were held at gunpoint before two men took an undisclosed amount of money and ran to a green four-door vehicle, according to the release.

Frost and Miller were taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center and assigned bonds of $50,000 each. As of Friday, Miller was still being held at the detention center, but Frost was no longer listed, according to the detention center’s website.

White was also taken to the detention center, where he awaits a bond hearing.

Investigators believe White and Miller walked into the restaurant and threatened the employees at gunpoint. Frost allegedly drove the vehicle they fled in, the release said.

Anyone with additional information about the robbery can contact the police department at 843-706-4560.
