Man busted for pot on way home from Disney World
A man was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession Friday on his way home from a trip to Disney World.
Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputies received a tip from the man’s ex-girlfriend that he was riding a Greyhound Bus in possession of drugs, according to a police report released Monday.
Deputies made contact with the man outside the Trask Parkway bus station in Burton.
He told police he was on was home from Disney World in Orlando.
The man was carrying a bag and deputies "smelled a strong odor" coming from it, the report said.
A bag of marijuana was found on the man’s person.
It is unclear from the report whether the man is a Beaufort County resident or was just passing through on his way to another destination.
