One hurt in Tuesday morning wreck on U.S. 278

One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 278 near the New River Auto Mall.

Two vehicles were involved in the greater Bluffton wreck on westbound U.S. 278, which tied up traffic in the area of Island West, according to Randy Hunter of the Bluffton Township Fire District.

One person was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
