$4,000 bracelet stolen from car on Hilton Head Island

A $4,000 gold bracelet and an antique gold coin worth $400 were stolen last Friday from a car parked in a lot on Hilton Head Island.

The owner of the stolen valuables were kept them in “a pink and polka dot bag,” which she left briefly in her unlocked car, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report released Wednesday.

The only time the items were out of their owner’s sight was “the three minutes she left her vehicle unlocked in the parking lot,” the report said.

Deputies searched the area but did not locate the bag, bracelet or antique coin.
