Bluffton woman dies after falling from ladder

A Bluffton woman lost her life Monday morning when she fell from a ladder at a Bluffton residence.

According to Deputy Coroner David Ott, Josephine Berson, 72, died after she fell from a ladder while cutting tree limbs.

She fell onto a hand saw, Ott said.

The incident appears accidental, Capt. Bob Bromage of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said.
