Bluffton woman’s 1986 murder in Rose Hill area still unsolved
Thirty years after a Bluffton woman was found murdered inside her home, deputies continue to investigate the cold case.
Sarah Grace Glisson, 88, was found tied up and slain in her home near what is now Rose Hill Plantation on Feb. 22, 1986, according to a Beaufort Sheriff’s Office news release.
Investigators learned she was legally blind. She lived alone at the time but was routinely checked on by friends.
When deputies found her, her home was in “disarray.”
Investigators later learned Glisson was in fail health and died of suffocation as a result of the restraints on her body.
Forensic evidence taken from the scene did not identify any suspects because the technology to do so was limited at the time, the release said.
Anyone with information on the cold case can contact Capt. Bob Bromage at 843-255-3402 or robertb@bcgov.net.
