Two arrested in Bluffton drug sting
A Bluffton man and woman received multiple drug charges after a Thursday search warrant on Buck Island Road uncovered several types of narcotics, a firearm and ammunition.
Members of the Bluffton Police Department’s Strategic Response Team and Special Investigations Unit arrested Leroy Brown, 36, and Lori Smalls, 47, after they were found in possession of the drugs, according to a police department news release.
Both were charged with multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, Oxycodone, Buprenorphine and Xanax.
They also were each charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute those drugs within half a mile of a school, the release said.
Brown and Smalls were taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center. Brown is being held on a $80,620 bond. Smalls is being held on a bond of $40,620.
