Update: SC 170 lanes reopened after auto hauler overturns

Despite earlier reports to the contrary, there were no injuries after a semi-truck hauling vehicles overturned on SC 170 and May River Road Tuesday afternoon when the driver lost control.

The Bluffton Police Department shut down all lanes of the circle headed to Bluffton around 1 p.m. and opened them again around 2:45 p.m., spokeswoman Joy Nelson said.

Another vehicle was involved in the crash, Nelson said.
