Vandalism incidents targeting Hardeeville family under investigation
The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of vandalism incidents targeting a Hardeeville family, according to a report from Savannah television station WTOC.
Lenora Wilson told the station her home, her cars and her church have all been vandalized in a series of incidents dating back to November.
On Nov. 8, Wilson's husband found that the tires on all three of their cars had been slashed, that water and ammonia had been poured in the gas tanks, and that paint had been sprayed on the vehicles. A week after their cars were repaired, the vandal or vandals struck again. The family's home and the statues in front of it were spray-painted, as were the three vehicles.
Wilson's church, Greater Pentecostal Temple in Hardeeville, also was targeted. A shed on the church campus was spray painted with a message to Wilson: "I love you Lenora Wilson. How dare you say there was no us," according to WTOC.
Wilson told the station she has no idea who could be behind the vandalism.
The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is investigating the vandalism and has taken the surveillance video from the church.
