Lockdown lifted at Hilton Head Christian Academy after bomb threat

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office did not find anything after a bomb threat was sent to the administration of Hilton Head Christian Academy by email Thursday morning.

The school was placed on lockdown after the threat, Capt. Bob Bromage said.

The school was searched and the lockdown was lifted by 2 p.m., according to the school's administration.

The administration was not available to discuss the details of the email.
