Woman sprayed with bleach, arrested in scuffle at Bluffton Dunkin' Donuts

A woman was arrested Thursday after her daughter and another girl were involved in a fight at the Burnt Church Road Dunkin' Donuts, and one person was allegedly sprayed with bleach during the scuffle.

The girl involved in the fight and her mother went to the shop about 5:45 p.m. and saw the other girl, who was an employee, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report. Both girls are minors.

The mother told deputies she knew that her daughter and the employee had problems in the past, the report said.

An argument between the girls broke out, and the mother said she was sprayed in the face with bleach at one point, but did not know who did it, the report said. A witness later told deputies the woman's daughter had done it when she attempted to spray the other girl.

The woman and her daughter were issued a trespass-after-notice form, and a deputy was unable to determine by video surveillance who started the fight, the report said.

The mother was later arrested on a warrant for a fraudulent check charge, the report said.
