A Bluffton man wanted on armed robbery and weapons charges in Jasper County was arrested Friday.
Dontay Allen, 28, was arrested by an officer who was on patrol and recognized Allen's vehicle from a bulletin released to law enforcement about threats made against officers by Allen on social media, according to a Bluffton Police Department news release.
Allen originally lied about his identity to officers before they found out who he was, the release said.
Inside Allen's vehicle, officers found 4 grams of marijuana and one white pill, the release said.
In addition to the armed robbery and weapons charges from Jasper County, he was charged with driving with a suspended license, simple possession of marijuana and having an active Bluffton Police Department bench warrant.
He was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center.
