Bluffton Firefighters' Auxiliary hosting annual Lowcountry Rockin' the Pink Breast Cancer walk

The Bluffton Township Fire District's firefighters' auxiliary will host its sixth annual breast cancer walk Oct. 3 at Red Cedar Elementary School, according to a news release.

The three-mile walk will start with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. The walk's registration fee will be $20 before Sept. 30, and $25 after that date through the day of the walk. Participants can register for the walk online at http://rockinthepink.weebly.com. Teams of 10 can register for $15 per team member.

Walkers can also register at Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Jim 'N Nick's on U.S. 278. Shirts are available for $10, the release said.

This year's walk will include vendors, food, drinks, and a silent auction. Volunteers and donations to the silent auction are always needed. All donations can be dropped off at Bluffton Township Fire District headquarters at 357 Fording Island Road.
