Cars in Hilton Head neighborhood spray painted with obscenities
A Hilton Head Island man awoke Tuesday morning to find his two cars spray painted with offensive messages and drawings of male genitalia.
He made the discovery at his Chinaberry Drive home, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
The messages were painted in removable paint, the report said.
The man told a deputy he was not sure why his car was targeted.
The messages, in red, white and blue paint, included "it's 2016" and a four-letter word preceding the years 2014 and 2015, the report said.
The man also told deputies one of his neighbors saw a green SUV filled with juveniles nearby the night before. The vehicle "peeled out" of the area when spotted, the neighbor said.
No suspects were found, the report said.
