Sheriff's Office investigates three Hilton Head business burglaries

Phily's Deli, Bess' Delicatessen and the Chocolate Canopy were each burglarized around 3:45 a.m. by thieves who threw rocks at the glass doors to get inside, according to the Sheriff's Office release.

Unspecified property was taken from each of the businesses, and evidence collected from each scene will be examined at the Sheriff's Office Forensic Services Laboratory, the release said.

The thief or thieves have not been identified, but are believed to have been on foot or bicycles, the release said.
