Hardeeville Police Department detectives are seeking to question a man in connection with a Saturday night shooting.

Police are seeking to question Darius Hamilton, 30, regarding an incident that occurred Saturday evening near a homeless encampment near Paynesville Road. Officers arrived on the scene and found a male victim with a gunshot wound; the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, the police department said.

Hamilton is also wanted for probation violations, police said, and he should be considered armed.
