Coroner identifies other 4 dead in Green Pond stabbing and house fire, funerals planned
The Colleton County Coroner has identified the remaining four victims of the six who died on July 2 in Green Pond, SC.
Identified were, Jefferson Burnell, 49, Shamiah Rutledge, 7, Amos Magwood, 73 and Maggie Magwood, 101. These victims are in addition to the two previously identified - Sariyah Manigo, 11 and Michele Wright, 50.
Preliminary autopsy results show that of the six who died, five died from stab wounds and one, Maggie Magwood, died from soot and smoke inhalation, according to a representative from the Colleton County Coroner’s office.
A joint funeral will be held for the six dead on July 22 at 12 p.m. at the Walterboro High School Preforming Arts Center.
One family member survived the incident, 13-year-old Kamora Wright. Wright is currently in critical condition.
Ryan Lenard Manigo, 33, has initially been charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Michele Wright and Sariyah Manigo, his daughter, and attempted murder for Kamora Wright.
As of noon Monday, there was no new information on additional charges for the other four deaths according to the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
