Police looking for 2 who robbed a minor at gunpoint at a Beaufort mobile home park

Police are looking for two people who robbed a minor at gunpoint on Jan. 8 at the Independent Mobile Home Park in Beaufort, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The armed robbery took place around 5 p.m. The minor was getting a ride from a friend and when they stopped at the mobile home park on Shanklin Road, he got out of the car. Two people came up to him, each holding a gun, and he was pushed to the ground, according to Maj. Angela Viens, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

The minor was not injured, but the two ran off with Apple AirPods, which are wireless earbuds that connect to iPhones via Bluetooth.

As of Thursday, no arrests have been made.

Descriptions and ages of the two suspects were not immediately available.
