Woman held at gunpoint, her car stolen Wednesday night at Port Royal apartment complex

Police are asking anyone near the Eventide Apartment complex in Port Royal with security cameras to review their footage after a woman was held up Wednesday night at gunpoint.

The woman, who was not named in a Port Royal Police Department press release, had just gotten off work at 9:30 p.m. when she got back to her apartment complex on Shell Creek Drive. Two men wearing all black with face masks, went up to her in the parking lot. One of the men “flashed a handgun” at the woman and took her car keys, police said. Both men drove off in the woman’s 2020 Kia Sportage with a S.C. license plate number of SNY341.

There were no injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information may call Sgt. Jason Boggess with the Port Royal Police Department at 843-986-2220.
