One person taken to the hospital after SUV crashes through Hilton Head salon Tuesday
A woman was taken to the hospital after her SUV went through the front of Salon 5200 on Hilton Head’s Main Street Tuesday morning, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, crashed through the salon’s storefront around 10:30 a.m., said Maj. Angela Viens, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. The driver was taken to the hospital, and no other injuries were reported in the incident.
The woman behind the wheel of the car apparently mistook the gas pedal for the brake, Viens said.
A representative for the salon did not want to comment.
